I love building cool stuff. It is so much more fun to build off road campers than some widget, or boring product. Is it a great business model, or super lucrative indeavor? NOPE. But that does not mean it’s not totally worth it. I love doing something different. Door on the side and galley in the back- that’s what everybody does. How can we be different and think outside the box? How can we make a small teardrop camper that feels big inside? What is the easiest way to get in and out? How do we build it 5x stronger than it needs to be? These were all questions we thought about constantly. Well we built it, and refined it, then built it again. I wish I could be satisfied and quit tweaking little things. PIKE’s goal is to sell a camper that people love, and never have a warranty claim. I want us to be known for building the toughest trailer possible. Quality built Teardrop campers are expensive. PIKE wants to overdeliver. So we made a few changes for 2025.
- 33’s are so 1990’s. we had to bring the PIKE 1902 into the modern age. We are the only Offroad Teardrop camper coming with standard 35″ tires. Why? Let’s be honest here- It looks freaking cool. Also- it matches the more modern vehicles with 35′-37′ tires being common.

PIKE uses Timbren 3500HD axles. With 35″ tires and expected heavy duty off road use, we chose to implement all 3 of Timbren’s mounting options. frame cross member-yes, bolted down to a mounting plate-yes, cross member installed through axle-absolutely! If there was a 4th option, we would have done that as well.
2. We switched to what is called “Super Durable” powder coat. The kind you find on oil rigs and deep sea drilling platforms. PIKE campers are meant to get dirty and scratched. That doesn’t mean you use weak coatings! PIKE powder coat is the same used by the BLM (Bureau of Land Management). The colors were designed to blend in with the mountains and deserts and spend years in the elements. Your off-road camper is going to be the same color as the signs and logos of the BLM for the same reason.

3. NEW FOR 2025!! We are almost done designing the biggest front storage box known to man. 36″x60″22″. It will officially be the largest storage box on ANY offroad teardrop on the market. We will be utilizing the OVS slide out kitchen, which will barely take up any room in the box. There will be storage for every cooking utensil you own plus room for all your chairs, generators, speakers, toys, mother-in-laws, etc. Many of the teardrop campers on the market have a front box that fits a fridge only. We wanted more.

Hopefully we are done for awhile. PIKE is constantly listening to what people want. If you have ideas- Let us know! Offroad campers are meant to be efficient, and not add stress or complication. We are constantly trying to refine use of space. How far can we take an 8 foot box without making it over complicated? I guess we will see.
That’s it for 2025! we will see what 2026 brings.
Thanks!
